One person found this helpful. This book is quality constructed – nice heavy paper and will last for many years. I think it’s set up for intermediate type users because it makes an assumption that the reader has some basic concepts about working with pictures. I do not and didn’t have some of the skills that were needed. But, with some re-reading, I was able to get started removing blems, cropping, changing contrast, and so on. But I still have some experimenting to do with layering and some of the other more complex operations.

I would recommend this book for new to intermediate users. The problem is not just with thus guide. It is with all the guides I have come across to help you maximize your use of Adobe Elements software. They all do a terrible job of helping you use the image organization features of the software.

The software is so intuitive when it comes to enhancing an image, only people who are going to be using the software at its max, will get anything out of it, and as I said it does little to help you get the most out of the organizational aspects of the software.

Although the book is complete, it takes a bit of effort to learn Photoshop thoroughly – which I admit I haven’t quite made it all the way as of yet. I bought three books on photoshop 12 and none of them was what I’d call Excellent. PS12 for Dummies came the closest to what I needed to reach my goal.
